A quick bit: Born and raised in Virginia, currently living in San Francisco California with my husband and daughter. Undergraduate degrees in art history and zoology from Brigham Young University, Ph.D. in molecular evolution and biology from the University of Rochester and postdoctoral research at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory. I currently am part-owner and chief scientific officer at a company, [http:www.openhelix.com OpenHelix which trains and consults scientists and biomedical professionals on genomic resources.

My expertise lies in evolution, bioinformatics, genomics and biology in general. I also have experience, interest or knowledge of Mormonism, Christianity, theology, ethics, health and nutrition, linguistics, civil rights, gay rights, adoption, european history and more.
