Wayne Co-wrote with Ray Peterson, The hit Single "Night Theme "on Wye Records, going under the name "The Mark II"...."Night Theme" became a National Hit, and was recorded by many Big named Artist, such as Al Hirt's Million Seller Album",on RCA " Honey In The Horn", Felix Slatkin,"The Magnificent XII", on Liberty Records, "Pipeline" by the Chantays, on Dot Records, Ernie Freeman's "Dark At the Top of The Stairs"on Imperial Records, Lawrence Welk's, "Last Date" on Dot Records and Hargus Robbins "A Bit of Country Piano", Floyd Cramer on his new CD The Magic Touch of: I was very fortunate to write with Wayne. a great friend and writer. He,along with Ken Dutton, the president of Electronics, Inc., opened a record company in the early sixties called WYE Records. Wye Records recorded many local bands such as Art Tancredi- The Mark II- Morton Downey Jr -Tony Abbott - many others. The orginal recording of Night Theme had some great local musicians backing up Wayne and Ray, Bob Petteruti on bass and George Azevedo on sax. Time goes by and Wayne and Ray are still writing and entertaining. They love it.
