INDEPENDENCE DAY !! REALLY……..
15th August 1947, the day India got Independence ,men, women, children fought, died for Independence and we got Independence but did we really got Independence we got Independence from the British but after 78 years we women’s who were the equally the part of the fight it are still living a life of fear where we can’t go out in night or in big cities were our life’s and most importantly our body is not safe. According to the 2021 annual report of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), 31,677 rape cases were registered across the country, or an average of 86 cases daily.
· On 7 June 2013, a 20-year-old college student was abducted, gang-raped and murdered in Kamduni village.
· The Kannur Kotta rape case refers to the gang rape of a married Muslim woman by her husband along with his friends at the Kannur Fort in the year 1993.
· A 23-year-old physiotherapy intern, who came to be known as "Nirbhaya (the fearless one)", was raped and assaulted by six men inside a bus in south Delhi on December 16, 2012, before being thrown out of the moving vehicle.
· In 2024 , A PG trainee doctor was raped and murdered inside the hospital when she on night duty
· And many more.
These are just some few cases that world know about and the worst past about it is that 90% of time the rapist’s get away with it either by power, money or political support.
When we sit in our home thinking now nothing worst can happen some sick heads prove us wrong and every time worst cases came to our knowledge.
And the fact is we may have not come across some worst cases which are not in to our knowledge.
In this so called Independent country where no women is save not even a female doctor who spent hear half of life studying to save people ‘s life and we as a country can’t even provide here justice . And what is the government is doing releasing rapists Ram Rahim out of jail again, just before Haryana polls.
This is just not even acceptable for anyone but the people in power just don’t care. There are people fighting for someone’s right who is not even alive and in the end what we get nothing not even justice.
So, Lets Wake Up and Talk
Because we can make change , we can change.
