Hi Blaze The Wolf, this is your CVUA page. Please start by filling out the initial survey.

Initial Survey edit

Important Note: This survey is intended to be taken without any use of onwiki links or guidelines/policies. Only use your current knowledge. I want to see how much you know; I'm not testing you. Please answer honestly and to the best of your ability so I can best customize the rest of the CVUA course to your present knowledge.

  • How confident do you feel about anti-vandalism?
    • A: Semi-confident
  • What is a good faith edit?
    • A: An edit where the user who made the edit was not meaning to disrupt editing, however they may not have realized that they have disrupted editing.
  • What is vandalism?
    • A: An edit where the user deliberately meant to disrupt editing.
  • How could one distinguish between good faith and vandalism?
    • A: Thinking like a human. Think about whether or not someone meant to mess something up or not.
  • When should you revert an edit?
    • A: You should revert an edit if you think it is necessary, if you were wrong another editor will revert it, per WP:BRD
  • What is sockpuppetry?
    • A: Sockpuppetry is when someone uses an alt account to attempt to circumvent a restriction on the main account such as a ban.
  • What should you do if you encounter a sockpuppet?
    • A: Report them to the appropriate place.
  • If you notice an account is vandalizing on multiple wikis, what do you do?
    • A: I honestly have no idea as I mainly only focus on the English Wikipedia.
  • What is the difference between how you should treat edits from an IP editor and from a registered user?
    • A: None. You should treat them equally.
  • What is ORES?
    • A: Never heard of it.
  • If you see a threat of harm, what do you do?
  • If you see a copyright violation, what do you do?
    • A: I.. actually don't know. I think you request speedy deletion but I'm not sure.
  • If you see personal details or doxxing, what do you do?
    • A: Request an oversighter.
  • If you see personal attacks on a BLP, what do you do?
    • A: I don't know.
  • If you see grossly insulting, degrading, or offensive content, what do you do?
    • A: I'm not sure.
  • What is metawiki?
    • A: I have no clue.
  • What is mediawiki?
    • A: Mediawiki, as far as I know has stuff to do with short descriptions. I only know this because I somehow did 1 edit on it by moving a page.
  • What is the Wikimedia Commons?
    • A: Wikimedia Commons is the main sort of "hub" of all the Wiki's.
  • What copyright is text on Wikipedia licensed under?
    • A: I don't actually know since I don't pay attention to that.
  • What can rollbackers do?
    • A: Revert multiple edits at once
  • What are a few of the more important things admins can do?
    • A: Ban users and protect pages
  • What is a steward, and what do they do?
    • A: There's a difference between stewards and admins?
  • If you have questions about anything, where can you go for help?
  • Is this survey too long?
    • A: Nope.
