== P.T.M == P.T.M is a town and a Mandal in Chittoor district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. PTM stands for Pedda Thippa Samudram . P.T.M is famous for Sugar canes (Production) and mills processing sugar canes and exporting them.
Kandukuru is a nearby village close to PTM village; where a big pond( kandukuru chervu) which stores water in large capacity and helps villagers for different types of crop production through the year.
"ANDHRA OOTY" called Horsley Hills near by this Mandal.
It is near by 120 km The GREEN CITY called Bengaluru and also near by 155 km Devotional city called Tirupathi. Panchayat people are trying to make this village as municipality.
PTM is surrounded by a beautiful belt of green landscape .A view of Horsley hills and other hills surrounded by makes it a paradise for an evening walk.
This is a biggest Mandal in its district Chittoor. In this Mandal there is a population of around 20,000. It is the nearest border to Karnataka from one direction on is through kandukuru. This is a Mandal head quarters in Chittoor Dist.,situated at south-west side of Thirupathi. The famous hill resort Horley Hills is situated near to this Mandal. It is a border town (Karnataka)well known for its agricultural and farm products. people especially farmers from neighbouring places like Chinthamani, bagepalli(Karnataka), Kadiri, Madnapalle, mainly depend on this mandal for their Agricultural farm needs. The main trade is Tamarind, Sugarcane, groundnut, Paddy and Milk products.
There are many Govt. Schools in this Mandal, most of the students are studying in these schools.
