Cole young shouldn't be focused too much. The movie should instead focus on Liu Kang's a the main character in addition to the main stories of Subzero and Scorpion. Cole Young doesn't even look Asian enough, he looked more Caucasian than Asian. The fact that the direction of movie is some Japanese guy but decided to cast a half asian guy who to me looks more caucasian is ridiculous. when both their parents, both of their parents are pure Asian so why is this so ridiculous.

I agree we should wait for secondary sources. There's a lot of facts though. The budget is 55 million but how much money have they spend on promotion it would be anywhere from 20-100 million and just 70 million grossing is nowhere good enough.

They grossed more than 79 million but still not enough. For a budget of 55 million... you expect double and triple the grossing in order for it to be successful or for it to have a sequel.
