Valfarly chanced upon wikipedia and thought "that'll never work"... but after using it a few times, he eventually got sufficently annoyed by a typo to do something about it and on 15th March 2004 hit edit. From there it was a slippery slope to writing articles for things he found no-one else had written about and adding tidbits, factoids and other nuggets of information to previously covered topics. Finds himself correcting spelling and grammar far too often!

Born in 1975, he grew up in Dublin, Ireland.

He is now a resident of San Mateo, California, just outside of San Francisco in the United States of America. He having moved there in September 2015. He has previously lived in Falls Church, Virginia, Dallas, Texas, and Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, California.

He was married in Dallas, Texas in January 2006. | |-

Using Math

When using math in an article, there are two different types of markup that one can use. It is important to be consistent throughout an article and use the same type of markup. If a formula appears all on the same line, it would be better to use HTML than LaTeX, because L^∞ looks better in line than $L^{\infty }$ does; however it's generally a bad idea to attempt to render $Q(x)={\frac {1}{\sqrt {2\pi }}}\int _{x}^{\infty }e^{-t^{2}/2}dt={\frac {1}{2}}\,\operatorname {erfc} \left({\frac {x}{\sqrt {2}}}\right),\ x\geq {}0$ in HTML.

Happy Chandler (July 14, 1898 – June 15, 1991) was the 44th governor of Kentucky (1935–1939), a member of the U.S. Senate, the commissioner of baseball, and the 49th governor of Kentucky (1955–1959). In his first term as governor, he oversaw the repeal of the sales tax, replacing the lost revenue with new excise taxes and the state's first income tax, and helped improve the state's education and transportation systems. He resigned as governor so his successor could appoint him to the Senate. A fiscal conservative and disciple of Virginia's Harry F. Byrd, Chandler opposed parts of Roosevelt's New Deal and openly disagreed with the president's decision to prioritize European operations in World War II over the Pacific War. In 1945, he resigned his Senate seat to become the commissioner of baseball, succeeding Kenesaw Mountain Landis.
