Introduction edit

I'm a student at York College I am currently taking an I/O psychology class with Dr. Aston Ashton Dr. Ashton[1]. Where i will be working on editing articles and doing a Wikipedia editing assignment for my Industrial/Organizational psychology course. Industrial-organizational (I-O) psychology involves the application of the methods, facts, and principles of the science of psychology to people at work.[2]

Objectives edit

  • To understand I/O Psychology content
  • To develop written and verbal communication skills
  • Apply I/O Psychology theories to new situations and analyze these situations from an I/O Psychology perspective.
  • Understand the process of researching and developing job and career related reports in I/O Psychology
  • Demonstrate computer literacy by using online I/O Psychology


Learning I/O Psychology by editing Wikipedia edit

The goal of the assignment is to edit and improve a number of Wikipedia articles in the area of I/O Psychology.

  1. Learning Wikipedia Assignment
  2. Create pages and do basic markup editing. These entail creating a userpage and fill it with appropriate information (for a Wikipedia userpage) and use basic Wikipedia markup language.
