Why edit
I just edit stuff when I feel it's necessary. I mostly do minor edits. I'm not in this for any fame or to be in the wiki community or anything. In fact, I'm NOT in this! I hate Scare quotes. They really get under my skin. I usually leave angry edit comments after correcting them. I probably shouldn't but they're a major pet peeve of mine. And they have no place on Wikipedia so when I sees 'em I zaps 'em! When you use scare quotes you're editorializing. It's a bad habit. Just don't do it! But I probably shouldn't be sorude in the edit comments either. Hmm. Okay, starting now I'm not going to let it bug me so much.
Sometimes I'll come across a sentence that doesn't make any sense. A sentence that cannot be grepped of any meaning. So I delete it. As i explain in the comments, if anybody can figure out the passage they're free to reintroduce and clarify it. Otherwise it's just dragging down the quality of the page.
