The North American Testing Center (NATC or EANATC) is a QA and video game testing site operated by Electronic Arts on the Louisiana State University's main campus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It first opened up to students in August of 2008 to offer "A perfect entry-level opportunity for students and new college graduates to break into the gaming industry".[1] As of Fall 2012, EA has since moved to a larger, 94,000 ft² facility on campus.

History

edit

On August 26, 2008, LSU's Center for Computation & Technology (CCT), stated in their weekly newsletter, CCT Weekly, that "...Teamwork among state, city and University partners convinced Electronic Arts Inc....to do business in Baton Rouge."[2] EA then began moving into the South Campus complex and began postin jobs in September 2008.

New Facility

edit

In April of 2011, LSU's CCT released a statement saying that LSU's Board of Supervisors would sign off on a $30 Million contract with Electronic Arts to begin construction on a new 94,000 ft² facility on the southeast of the campus.[3]Construction of the facility began Summer 2011, and opened late Summer 2012.
