The Kamov AK was a World War II autogyro attack helicopter designed by Kamov. It had tricycle landing gear and a single fin.[1]

History

edit

The AK was Kamov's response to the government’s decision to organize a separate “pilot plant of screw devices” based on existing facilities in the area of the Ukhtomsky aerodrome.[2]

The design for the AK first began at the start of World War II. However, development ceased after the development team designing the AK was disbanded. After WWII ended, Kamov OKB was created and finished the design.[3]
