I have read a description of Leroy Mendonca, Medal of Honor recipient, the article list him as Portuguese and Filipino. He is pure Portuguese. I know this because he was my uncle. His sister was my Mother and she was the sponsor of the ship the Army commissioned and named for him. Please correct your article. He has another sister, Lucille, who is still living in Hawaii.
