Thattha movie plot summary in brief: Ruwan is a 10-year-old boy. His father always punishes him. Unable to tolerate this situation, Ruwan imprisons his father in a certain place. By the time Ruwan understood the seriousness of the incident, a lot had happened.
Thaththa movie synopsis in length: Ruwan is a boy about ten years old. His father was Ratnapala. Ratnapala earns money by doing hired work. Ratnapala, a fair villager, always punishes Ruwan. This is a mental torture for Ruwan. Ruwan is always angry with Ratnapala because he is always punished. One day in the morning, Kalu mudalali takes Ratnapala to clean one of his stores. Kalu mudalali opens the door of the store and leaves it to Ratnapala to clean. Ruwan, who is waiting for all this, goes very quickly and closes the door of the store while Ratnapala is inside. Ruwan thinks that there will be no trouble from his father from now on. But Ruwan remembers his father all that day. Events happen throughout the day that require father. In the end, Ruwan decides to open the door of the store and save his father. Ruwan's mother does not know any of this. Realizing the seriousness of the incident, Ruwan along with his mother breaks the door of the store and prepares to take the father out. But Ratnapala is not there. Ratnapala, who saves his life through the police, also has to go to jail. Ruwan meets his father inside the police station. Director's Biography:
Prasad Samaratunga enters cinema as the screenwriter of Ulath ekay pilath ekay. All the coordination work of the movie was done by him. The movie Ulath ekay pilath ekay was released in 2015. Prasad Samaratunga's directorial debut is Iskoleta man awa. The screenplay was completed by him. Iskoleta man awa movie was released in 2019. Thattha is the second film directed by Prasad Samaratunga. He is its co-author. In addition to these creations, Prasad Samaratunga has created many music videos and documentaries. Among them, the documentary program created about the sad life of the popular actor Sanet Dikkumbura is special. It can be viewed on YouTube. Prasad worked for 12 years as a journalist in Sarasaviya newspaper of Lakehouse Institute. Prasad Samaratunga can be introduced as an announcer, song writer, documentary program writer and engaged in several other fields of art.

Iskoleta man awa movie is my first movie direction. It is a film made for children. The film was watched by a large number of viewers in Sri Lanka and most of them asked me to make the next film for children. Due to the audience's request, I became interested in creating the second film for children. Thattha movie is made for children. Very few films have been made in Sri Lanka that talk about a father's love. So I thought that father's love is suitable for the theme of this film. Father's love, kindness and mercy are not visible on the surface. All those qualities are hidden in his heart. What is father's love is discussed in the film Thattha. No matter how much he complains, the father's love for his children does not decrease a bit. The movie Thattha is about that love. The theme of the film Thattha is written as the story of the first hero in our life.
Producer's Biography:
Rushantha Wijenayake produced the movie Thattha. This is his first movie production. Earlier, Rushantha has produced tele drama and short films.
