I am a recently retired engineer, having spent most of my working life involved with mechanical or structural (mainly steelwork) engineering. My username is perhaps the clue there... I'm British, proud of it, and initially hoped to spend a bit of time on Wikipedia enhancing the coverage of a [ever decreasing...] selection of things that can be labeled (albeit loosely) engineering-related, and British. I did that, but diversified quite a bit into other things that interest me as time progressed, and now spend more time on random stuff than I ever thought I might... possibly allows. I still make mistakes as I am still most definitely not a computer wizard, but at all times I do try my best, and will always try to Talk things through with other Wikipedia editors. Too many people appear to argue far too easily.
