Hello, my name is Victoria Tomlinson. I work for Mind Candy, the company behind Moshi Monsters, and wanted to declare a conflict of interest. This is an account that I have set up to suggest changes to pages relevant to Mind Candy, including Moshi Monsters and Michael Acton Smith, the founder-creator of these brands. I'm aware that there are guidelines about creating and editing pages if there is a potential conflict of interest, so I would like to disclose here that these contributions are made on behalf of Mind Candy and in consultation with them, and I intend to follow all of Wikipedia's guidelines very closely. My aim is to work with and seek advice from impartial editors, providing objective content, to enhance balanced and informative pages. On any pages where I look for assistance, I will be sure to disclose my relationship to the company and its brands in the interests of transparency. If you would like to help me or have any questions, please let me know. Many thanks. Victoria

Hi. Thanks for declaring your COI - it is much appreciated. I note you haven't made any edits since initially joining, however if you were interested in editing again, I'd suggest the first guideline to read through would be the one on conflict of interest and see where it's appropriate for you to contribute and where you may be bound. The suggestion is broadly not to, and if you were to, to raise it via talk pages and not directly on the article page. There's one school of thought that suggests that those in the company may be best placed to source useful factual information so their contribution in certain situations is valued - however it is done as a collaborative effort with volunteer editors via the talk page as it's not advised to edit the article directly. If you wish to edit further, please leave a message on my talk page or ask for help at the Wikipedia:Teahouse. Rayman60 (talk) 14:47, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
