Jonathan Gwyn Mendus Edwards Jonathan Gwyn Medus Edwards is a barrister from Cardiff, Wales who was called to the Bar in 1981, and is a member of Lincoln’s Inn. Jonathan has 35 years’ experience, at the time of this article being written, in a variety of legal disciplines and is one of a small minority of barristers who hold the rights to conduct litigation by the bar standards board.

He has appeared in a wide range of civil matters, insolvency, business reconstruction and personal injury claims. He has a particular interest in the field of Public Law (including immigration, especially Judicial Review) and has recently been instructed in a number of cases with a political element.

He has also been instructed in the Court of Appeal and Divisional Court in civil, criminal matters and dealing personal injury claims. Jonathan is entitled to receive instructions by Direct Public Access and is authorised by the Bar Standards Board to conduct litigation.

Along with commercial and public litigation, he also has interest in a diversified and wide range of cases such as public transport injury, road traffic accident injury, medical negligence claims, industrial disease claims, food poisoning whilst abroad claims and other personal injury compensation suits.
