Schedules edit
- From 1947 to 1955 cup was played over 3-4 months within a single calendar year, usually starting in August and finishing with a final played around 29 November the same year. This means that the cup was played during the first half of the league season.
- In the calendar year 1956 no cup final was played, as the system switched to the more usual format more aligned with the league season, with the final played in May the following year.
- In 1958 the final was in November again.
- In 1959 the final was in May
- In 1962 the final was in July
- From 1963 to 1972 it was always played in May
- In 1973 and 1974 again the old four-month format was used, with finals in November
- 1975 was skipped again, as the format reversed once again, so the next final was in May 1976. This was retained until the last edition in 1991-92.
