Broderick Crawford Day new article content ... Broderick Crawford Day is traditionally celebrated on October 4th, also known as 10-4. Broderick Crawford (9 Dec. 1911-26 Apr. 1986) was an actor who starred in the television show Highway Patrol from 1955 to 1959. Nostalgia for the police drama inspired fans to celebrate Broderick Crawford Day on 10-4. Broderick Crawford Day was the brainchild of Carl Vorst and has been celebrated yearly since before 1985 at McDonnell Douglas Electronics Company, FlightSafety International, and Boeing Corporation.

Over the years, the commemoration has grown from a small get-together at 10:04 a.m. to having a decorated "Crawford Cake", complete with miniature Highway Patrol cars. Crawford cards are also part of the celebration.
