Hi - I'm Gareth and am living in Leeds, having moved here at the beginning of 2007.
I grew up in Wales, worked with the Met Office in Bracknell/Exeter after for a short while after Uni before joining Asda in Bristol in 2004 and ending up here in Yorkshire!
Main Wikipedia interests are my current locality/previous places I've lived, the wider world, cities, urban decay, poverty, rural issues, America/Americana, music and the most random stuff imaginable.
...Not many people know, for example, that Marvin Stone invented the drinking straw but thanks to Wikipedia, I do, and now so do you!
I seem to have developed a need to amass as much useless knowledge as is possible, so consequentially, I'm more of a wallflower than a contributor. I do edit from time to time, but these are usually pages with little info/no info or of great relevance to what I'm doing/where I've been.
I hope to do more in the future.
