Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is a franchise cricket team based in Kolkata, India, and is one of the teams participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The franchise is owned by Red Chillies Entertainment, and was purchased for 3 billion (US$36 million).[1] It played its first Twenty20 match in the first season of the IPL against Royal Challengers Bangalore, which it won. In that season, KKR won six matches of fourteen, and finished sixth with an overall score of 13.[2] In the 2009 season, the team finished last with seven points.[3] In the third season, the team was unable to reach the playoffs.[4]

However, in the 2011 season, the team reached the playoffs and finished fourth.[5] KKR won the 2012 season[6] after beating Chennai Super Kings by five wickets in the final.[7] KKR did not perform so well in the 2013 season, ending in seventh position.[8] The team won the 2014 season,[9] after winning against Kings XI Punjab in the final by three wickets.[10] In this season, KKR's Robin Uthappa scored 660 runs for the team, more than any other player in the season.[11]

The first list includes all players who have played at least one match for KKR and is initially listed alphabetically by their last name. The second list comprises all those players who have captained the team in at least one match, arranged in the order of the first match as captain. Many players have also represented other teams of the IPL, but only the records of their games for KKR are given.[α][β]
