In performing my general cleanup edits, I use a custom Google Chrome extension which automatically pulls the HTML title attribute of all linked references on the page, and then adds this title where the reference once stood--in the form [LINK TITLE] (producing Blah - Where Blåhs Live, for example). I then review these suggested changes manually--making the necessary corrections (i.e. symbol conversion--for example, in the previous example I would correct the å to a proper 'a', etc.), and with one click save the revision.
So where do you get the pages to edit? edit
Occasionally I run through Special:NewPages. Otherwise, I use a combination of Special:Random and alphabetical lists of all Wikipedia articles (using database dumps).
5-6 edits per minute? edit
I'm able to get into a rhythm, and my extension is also able to preload pages in the background. I try not to edit during peak hours, doing my work in the cover of night.

Not yet. I'm currently still in development mode--things aren't exactly pretty at the moment.
