WikiCup 2015 March newsletter edit

That's it, the first round is done, sign-ups are closed and we're into round 2. Forty-seven competitors move into this round (a bit shy of the expected 64), and we are roughly broken into eight groups of six. The top two of each group will go through to round 3, and then the top scoring 16 "wildcards" across all groups.

Twenty-two Good Articles were submitted, including three by   Cyclonebiskit (submissions), and two each by   MPJ-DK (submissions),   Hurricanehink (submissions),   12george1 (submissions), and   Cas Liber (submissions). Twenty-one Featured Pictures were claimed, including 17 by   Adam Cuerden (submissions) (the Round 1 high scorer). Thirty-one contestants saw their DYKs appear on the main page, with a commanding lead (28) by   Cwmhiraeth (submissions). Twenty-nine participants conducted GA reviews with   J Milburn (submissions) completing nine.

Dreadnought race edit

Hi! Nowadays with google translate you can read those articles. Portuguese is quite similar to Spanish too. Robert Scheina, in Latin America's Wars, wrote about it too. If I find any, I'll send it to you.

@Brasileiro1500: Whoa, this is a great find! The background sections pretty closely mirror what I've written in the South American dreadnought race article, but the rest of it is really helpful—much of the information I have on the 1920–30s here is only from Argentine perspective (and even then, that is focused on their naval expansion plans). Do you know when this was written and for what journal so I can cite it in Wikipedia articles? Ed  [talk] [majestic titan] 04:42, 8 March 2016 (UTC)

2016 Brussels bombings edit

Silly closure edit

When a page in project space is actually a portal in all but name, is it then subject to the portal guidelines? I don't think that's a trivial question, and I think your edits and comments to the contrary are silly and offensive. Top 25 serves as a Main Page for the most popular Wikipedia content. Just like Portal:Featured content serves as a Main Page for the highest quality Wikipedia content.
