- Yeah. I know ALL about those ... (insert cusswords here) railroads in the UP. I spent wayyy too many childhood and teenaged (and even later) vacations up there helping dad do research. 16 year old girls aren't REALLY that into trudging through the woods tracing old abandoned railroad beds... (although when I was 30ish, we went up there in hunting season and I had a hard time persuading dad it probably wasn't a good idea to hike around in the woods...)
