Tigran Kotanjian (Armenian: Տիգրան Քոթանջյանը, born 1 September 1981) is an Armenian chess Grandmaster.[1]

He received his International Master title in 2003 and Grandmaster title in 2006.[2]
Kotanjian won the 11th Dubai Chess Open in 2009[3] and 3rd Karen Asrian Memorial in 2010.[4] He won the Dubai tournament and the Asrian tournament each with 7.0/9 points.[5][6] In 2011, he tied for 2nd-3rd with Kirill Stupak at the 4th Beirut Open tournament.[7] In the same year, he won the 4th Karen Asrian Memorial in Jermuk.[8] At the 5th Beirut Open 2012, Kotanjian came in first place with 8.0/9 points, ahead of Alexei Barsov, who won the previous Beirut Open ahead of Kotanjian.[9] Kotanjian won the 6th Beirut Open 2013 with a score of 7.5/9 points.[10]

- Karen Asrian vs. Tigran Kotanjian (2007) After regular play in the Armenian Championships, in the best of three tie-breaker Kotanjian lost two straight to Asrian. In both the 23 January game[11] and the 27 January game[12] Kotanjian used the Sicilian Defense.
