I'm Martin Langeveld, an old newspaper guy who has worked at newspapers in both Massachusetts and Vermont. My only efforts on Wikipedia have been to make some major contributions to two articles:

As full disclosure, I have worked for The Berkshire Eagle in quite a few capacities and still serve as an advisor to the owners. I have tried to exercise a neutral point of view in all my edits to the Eagle article.

My interest in Charles W. Whittlesey stems from the fact that he hailed from Berkshire County, Massachusetts, where I lived when working for The Eagle. In his day, he was one of the most well-known people in the United States (something that weighed heavily on him and probably was a factor in his suicide), but he is largely forgotten today.

I serve on the board of directors of the organization which owns the Governor Hunt House.
