I'm Texaswikiman777, and I just created my wikipedia account tonight. I don't know much about the inner workings of this community, but I hope to contribute. I'm a BIG fan of the mission and the results of wikimedia's 'project'.

Yet, I remain weary of the weaknesses of "crowdsourcing" when applied to specific current and/or hot topics where the 'crowd' may be massively comprised of the overly zealous who are by nature more likely to be motivated to 'contribute' and are blind to their biases. In such cases, wikipedia will suffer from the "crowd" taking the form of a "mob".
