Mary Alice Osborne and Terry King have lived for years in a log cabin in the woods in Topsham, Vermont, USA, surrounded by many computers and electronics and woodworking tools. Today they again live in Vermont after 8 years in Africa, China, the Middle East and Italy.
Mary Alice Osborne has worked as a bus driver, costume designer, art teacher, computer coordinator, technology teacher, and technical illustrator and has teaching degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education from the University of Vermont, plus Library Media Specialist certification. She holds a Masters Degree in Information Science from the University of Syracuse. She was the Director of the SPARK! program and Library Media Specialist in rural Vermont. From 2004-2007 she was Upper School Librarian at the American Cooperative School of Tunis, in North Africa. From 2007-2009 she was the Head Librarian at the Shekou International School in Shekou, Guangdong Province, China. From 2009-2011, she was the Head Librarian of the KAUST Schools at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia. In 2011-2012 she was the Head Librarian at the International School in Genoa, Italy. She has been the librarian at Hanover High School in New Hampshire and Founders School in Essex, VT in the past 2 years. Now she is primarily developing educational materials for YourDuino.com
Terry King has designed radio stations, recording studios, broadcast equipment, intelligent machines and special computer languages for IBM, and has worked as a broadcast journalist and photojournalist covering elections, fires, riots and Woodstock. He is now 'retired' and teaching electronics, robotics, photography and journalism to young people, and running http://Yourduino.com with his wife Mary Alice Osbrone and their Chinese friend Jun Peng.
