Hd EZ lock - Universal Locking HDMI Adapter

hd EZ lock is a Universal HDMI Locking Adapter, designed to assist with the issues facing the HDMI physical connection. Many people have had issues with the HDMI Physical connection. The HDMI Cable can work itself loose or become completely disconnected, resulting in intermittent signal dropouts or complete signal loss. Another issue that can arise is that the weight of the HDMI Cable (or bumping the cable, etc) can place enough stress on the HDMI Input to cause damage to the internal circuitry of the HDMI Input.

HDMI Licensing, LLC, the licensing agent responsible for administering the licensing of the HDMI Specification has documented this issue on their website[1][2], as have Stereophile Magazine[3], What Hi-Fi Magazine[4], and numerous others (blogs, forums, etc - a simple google search[5][6] will show numerous sources verifying these issues).

hd EZ lock unique[7] in that it's the only adapter available that allows a user of HDMI to secure a standard HDMI Cable in its inputs and remove the stress that the HDMI Cable places on that input. hd EZ lock attaches universally to a component's chassis to hold an HDMI Cable in place and eliminate stress on the HDMI Input. It attaches to the chassis of the component using the existing screw above or below the HDMI Input, or with a 3M Very High Bond (VHB) Adhesive. hd EZ lock works with most HDMI Cables and HDMI Components. By attaching hd EZ lock to the chassis, the weight of the HDMI Cable is now supported by the component's chassis rather than the HDMI Input, significantly reducing the risk of damage to an HDMI Input, and the HDMI Cable is held firmly in place eliminating signal dropouts due to the physical HDMI Connection.

Other manufacturers have begun to address this issue[8]. These include port-savers (short pigtails designed to eliminate stress by using a thin HDMI Male to Female cable with slightly thicker connector for a tighter fit) and various types of locking HDMI Cables.

hd EZ lock is manufactured in the USA by Blue Echo Solutions and is patent-pending[9].
