Hello.
My name is Dean, and I am a resident of the Sutherland Shire in the city of Sydney, NSW, Australia. I am getting on a bit (67 yrs old as of this writing) and I have lived and worked in the Shire my entire life. I have worked at the Leader Newspaper, Radio 2SSR 99.7FM, and Hazelhurst Gallery, among many other things throughout my life.
I love - art, literature, music, film, good wine and good food, and watching the occasional NRL footy game. I will concentrate my efforts on adding and tweaking existing pages on Wiki that are Shire based, and when I get more confidence, I will add new pages about Shire artists that I have had the privilege to interview, meet, or both, during my working career. As I look across the Wiki pages I see a lot of holes that I feel need addressing with regard to notable artists from the shire, and I feel that I am the man for the job. Hopefully my physical capacities will hang in there long enough for me to have made a contribution and significance of worth. Once I get my tech legs, among other things, I would love to create a page dedicated to The Arts Theater Cronulla, with full coverage since its creation in 1963. I hope I am worthy of being a valuable Wiki contributor - with integrity and accuracy.
