Top Tier edit

Top Tier is an e-commerce retailer that primarily markets to college students. The company is based in the United States and promotes itself through a strong social media presence, often using eye-catching content and memes to draw in customers.[1]

History edit

Top Tier was founded in 2015 by Jaden Bell and Dylan Kite. The company initially began out of a bet that Bell and Kite could not attain 10k followers on Instagram.[2] After quickly gaining 25k followers within a month, Bell and Kite began using their social media presence to market apparel and merchandise towards college students.[3] Instead of traditional advertisement, Top Tier increase their SEO by posting stimulating and striking content to draw in customers.[4] Top Tier has since expanded their marketing strategy to many social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Snapchat.

In 2017, Top Tier's Instagram account was suspended under suspicious circumstances. Within a month after restarting their account, however, they were able to almost double the amount of followers they had before.[3]

Publicity edit

In 2019, Top Tier became the main sponsor of race car driver Max Tullman for the 2019 MoneyLion 300.[5][6] In response to the sponsorship, Tullman stated: "I am really looking forward to getting back on track especially in Dega. I can’t thank Carl Long, everyone at MBM Motorsports and Top Tier enough for coming on board. I am going to do my best to get us all a good finish that we can all be proud of!"[6]
