The colonel sees his daughter in the visitation chamber, who tells him she is getting married to her long time boyfriend Max. However, as he will be in prison and will not be able to walk her to the altar, she asks his permission to have her step-dad (To whom her mother is married for 20 years) walk her there instead.
This angers the colonel, her birth father, and he yells at her that she can do "whatever the fuck she wants" and storms out of the room.
He is then sent to fix an elevator along with Morales, tries to use the opprtunity and kill him as ordered by Redding. Morales acts quickly, defends himself and has him crashed under the elevator.
