Malaysian comics refer to comic that are made in Malaysia. Unlike Japanese or American comics, Malaysian comics aren't published globally (with the exception of some comics).
History
editThe history of comics in Malaysia can be traced back to the pre-Independence era, i.e. before 1957. Cartoons were first published in May 1936, when Warta Ahad was first published. Then, Warta Jenaka was published four months later, on September 1936.[1]
