Notability

edit

What makes a station notable? Here are my standards that make a station meet WP:BCAST:

  • It is licensed by the NTC.
  • Its callsign is listed in a recent NTC listing.

These are optional, but it strengthens a station's notability:

  • It originates some programming.
  • A personality works in the said station.

What if a station is not licensed by the NTC?

  • The latter two are needed for notability.

Whether or not WP:BCAST is a vetted notability guideline, it has been used in conjunction with WP:BCASTOUTCOMES (and even WP:GNG) for years.

Lead

edit

Put its Callsign first, the <phrase>, its Brand Name and so on.

Use the ff. <phrase>s below:

  1. Broadcasting as
  2. On-air as
  3. Operating as

The lead on the article should look like this:

  • For FM stations using unique branding:
DXWT (92.3 FM), broadcasting as 92.3 Wild FM, is a radio station owned and operated by the UM Broadcasting Network.
  • For AM & FM stations with secondary branding:
DZRJ (810 AM) Radyo Bandido is a radio station owned by the Rajah Broadcasting Network, Inc.
