This is a list of my preferred citation tools, kept for personal reference. There is a full list at Help:Citation tools, although not everything listed there will work.

  • Citations from PMIDs: [1] [2]
  • Citations from Google Books: [3]
  • Citations using {{cite journal}}, generated from a DOI: [4]
  • Citations using {{cite web}}, using User:V111P/js/WebRef:
Go to the webpage to cite, allow the page to run scripts, open the script console, and enter this command:
(function(){var d=document,s=d.createElement('script');s.src='//en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:V111P/js/webRef.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript&smaxage=43200&maxage=86400';d.body.appendChild(s);})();
Any selected text will be automatically included in the reference as a quote.
  • Multiple inputs:
  • [5]: DOI, ISBN, PMID, PMCID, OCLC, Google Books URL
  • [6]: DOI, Google Books URL
