Mukhtar Shehu Idris, is currently the Honourable Commissioner of Finance, Zamfara State, Nigeria.
He was appointed to the position in 2015, previously he was Commissioner of Housing and Town Planning between 2011 through 2015. Also contested for the seat of the Federal House of Representatives (Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency) in 2007 under the People Democratic Party (PDP) and lost.
Mr Idris is a graduate of Economics from Bayero University Kano (2001),and holds five (5) Masters Degrees from Ahmadu Bello University and Bayero University Kano between 2006 - 2015.
Mr Idris is married with kids.
