History and Intorduction edit

The main occupation of this caste is fishing and boating. At present, the Majhi castes are not only involved in the traditional profession of fishing, but are engaged in various occupations. "Majhis" are also one of the various tribal tribes of Nepal. Like other tribal tribes, they also have their own separate living space, language, dress, culture, identity etc. Mostly they are quiet, helpful and shy in nature. It is because of this nature that they are socially and economically backward. [[Category:Society]] [[Category:Ethnic groups in Nepal]]
