I live and work in Edmonton, Alberta. Working for the English Language Program [1] at the University of Alberta [2] has given me an interest in communications, specifically intercultural communications. I've also got a bad case of footballitis - specifically the extremely rare strain of Footballitis Canadiana - which makes me extremely susceptible to following Canadian soccer teams (both national and club).

As part of my graduate studies in communications and technology, MACT, we are spending a summer elective course exploring and (hopefully) contributing to Wikipedia. As a complete newbie, I'm sure to make mistakes, but we're all relying on the kindness of mentors to help guide us along the way.
