Courier Model

edit

CitySprint operate a self-employed courier model for over 1500 vehicles. Couriers are vetted, each has a CRB check run before work is allocated, they wear CitySprint branded clothing and carry a CitySprint ID card to improve security. Vehicles are also branded, even though they are not owned by CitySprint, and are tracked via GPS technology built into the courier's hand held computers; marketed as CityTrakkers.

Technology

edit

CityTrakkers, commonly know as the O2 XDA II and more recently the Motorola MC55 also handle job allocation and POD/signature collection. This technology is reported to increase the efficiency of their national fleet as controllers have constant visibility of the entire fleet allowing them to select the nearest available courier.

CitySprint's entire operations run from a single system named CityTrak. This runs the job booking, tracking, reports, invoices, mobile data and most other business critical functions.
