I've been a user in Wikipedia for some time and may once have actually made a minor edit on a page but have otherwise been inactive. Recently looking for some information on the placement of the bases on a baseball field, I noticed a glaring error on the "Baseball" page:

"Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, is known for its fickle disposition: a hitter's park when the strong winds off Lake Michigan are blowing out, it becomes more of a pitcher's park when they are blowing in.[133]"

The error would be obvious to anyone who has attended a baseball game at Wrigley Field. Strong winds off of Lake Michigan cannot blow out at Wrigley Field, although they often blow in. (I suppose they could blow across the field if from the southeast, but that's still not out.) I checked the source for the erring statement and found that the source is accurate:

"There is the pitcher's park version that occurs when the wind is blowing in off Lake Michigan. / And there is the hitter's haven that happens when the wind blows out."

Unfortunately, the article is semi-protected, and I do not have 10 edits to get around that, so I have been looking around to see how it can be done and have managed to get thoroughly confused by the entire process.

In any event, I would suggest changing the Wikipedia statement to:

"Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, is known for its fickle disposition: a pitcher's park when the strong winds off Lake Michigan are blowing in, it becomes more of a hitter's park when they are blowing out.[133]"

I'm not sure who, if anyone, will ever see this, but if someone does, please help get this error in wind direction corrected. Thank you.
