The flag was approved on August 25, 2010[1] and entered into the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation with registration number 6407.

“A rectangular yellow cloth with a ratio of width to length of 2:3, bearing a white diagonal stripe ascending to the upper free edge, 1/8 of the width of the cloth with the image of four green rhombuses from the coat of arms of the district and narrow blue stripes along the edges.”

Symbolism edit

The flag is compiled according to the rules and relevant traditions of Vexillology and reflects historical, cultural, socio-economic, national and other local traditions.

Vowel flag. The name of the village of Chastye, the center of the Chastinsky Municipal District, comes from the phrase "chastye (numerous) islands" that were on the Kama River even before the creation of the reservoir in the 50s of the XX century. Four rhombuses, made up of each of the four parts, symbolize the multiplicity, "frequent", at the same time indicate the number of settlements that make up the municipal area. The green color of the rhombuses, on the one hand, symbolizes the natural vegetation, forested islands, on the other hand, the natural mineral volkonskoite, which was industrially mined by mines in the region. This mineral, from which the best quality green paint is produced, is unique and is found in sufficient quantities only on the territory of the Chastinsky District.

The blue stripe symbolizes the Kama River, on the banks of which the lands of the Chastinsky District are located.

Yellow color (or) is a symbol of the highest value, wealth, greatness, constancy, strength, strength and generosity, in addition, it symbolizes the rich harvests of Chastinsky farmers; The area has long been famous for agriculture.

White color (argent) is a symbol of perfection, nobility, purity, faith, peace.

The blue color (azure) symbolizes hope, the future, shows the water resources of the region.

Green color (vert) is a symbol of life, rebirth, natural resources of the territory, as well as agriculture.
