Steffanvs or simply Stef is nickname for Stefan Stefanov, real name Stefan Emilov Stefanov. Stefan is an experienced Marketeer and Manager, also SEO/SEM Expert & Consultant, Reputation and Digital Marketing Advocate, Strategist, Passionate History Researcher, Numismatist and Amazon Specialist, born in Vratsa in 1989.
Family and Origins edit
His father is a reactor engineer and expert in the Nuclear Power Plant of Kozlody, while his mother is a chief bartender at the Nuclear Power Plant's owned Restaurant "Istar", based in the center of Kozloduy. From his father side, family lineage goes back to Macedocian origins from Belin Begovo, at least part of it, while the other part from his paternal grandmather's side are the so called vlachs and Torlakian people. His paternal grand-grandfather was a policeman of the People's Militia during the reign of Todor Zhivkov, who worked for the Polit biuro. From his mother side, he traces his lineage to noble families in Vratsa and Ruse. Most notably his maternal grandmother was one of the only state auditors and accountant in Bulgaria, based in Vratsa, she audited stores and enterprises in the city. Early Life in Kozloduy and Education edit
He lived his youth in the town of Kozloduy until finishing High School with a specialization in Humanitarian profile (History, English, French, Bulgarian language and literature). In 2008 he moved to Veliko Tarnovo where he was admitted to the University of Veliko Tarnovo and undertook a Bachelor degree in Tourism. While in Veliko Tarnovo, he was struggling at finding a job, because the University had a requirement of at least 6 months of work experience and he had none. He managed to visit on foot 64 hotels in the area asking for an apprenticeship or anything related to tourism duties so that he can at least start somewhere. He was unsuccessful at first, but managed to devise a plan. With the savings he had from European rewards, based on good university results, he went to a business hotel, named Akvaya Hotel near the big marketplace in the center of the town and asked to start as an Reception administrator position without a salary. In addition Stefan told the Owner of the hotel that he would pay himself the insurances and state taxes just so he can start the job. The owner of the hotel agreed and in just 2 months he told Stefan that he was promoted to a permanent contract with a salary. In the last year of his studies he started pro bono as an Assistant Buyer for a national store food-chain, called CBA. Later he was promoted to Purchasing expert. He graduated with honors(6.00 out of 6.00) and then moved to Sofia in 2012. In 2015 while working for GfK, he fulfilled his dream, that's because he applied and was accepted as an MBA student at Cardiff Metropolitan University. In 2016 he graduated with honors.
Moved to Sofia (2012 - to date) edit
In 2012 he moved to Sofia, where he bought an apartment with a leasing in the district of Manastirski livadi (the eastern part). He was very dissapointed in himself at first, because his dream was to study abroad in the UK, he could not gather the courage to do so. Neverthelesss he tarted 2 Master degrees simultaneously in the New Bulgarian University. The first Master degree was Administration and Management with a special pathway in Organizational Excellence and the second MSc being Management of Luxury Hospitality. His first job in Sofia was managing a neighborhood Italian restaurant in Ovcha Kupel district of Sofia. As a requirement of one of the MSc in New Bulgarian University, he went abroad in France to work as a management intern for Hotel Le Zenith, based in Courchevel, which is a part of the Hotel Chain Vacanciel. There he underwent training in all departments of the hotel, this includes: reception, housekeeping, kitchen, restaurant and office. Upon his return to Sofia when his internship was done, he landed another job - Customer Quality Representative position, but this time in OTIS, part of United Technologies Corporation at the moment. As of 2020 OTIS is no longer part of UTC. He managed to win this quota position from over 100 contestants in Sofia, Bulgaria. There he trained under the American standards of quality and developed his sales skills, also pro-bono helding the position of EN ISO 9000:2008 Internal Auditor for the company. He managed to beat the company's yearly task for 2 signed contracts by managing to sign 5 contracts for elevator services in Sofia. After the OTIS period, at the age of just 23, in parallel to the degrees Stefan had his big push and landed a position as a Marketing and Delivery manager for a famous food-chain restaurants company, based in Sofia. He managed 5 restaurants, this includes: delivery processed, client management and occasionally a deputy Restaurant manager for a couple of restaurants.
in 2015 he then started working for GfK as a Researcher, hired by GfK Custom Research North America for Audits and Mystery shopping, Ann Arbor, Michigan. He rose to the position of Sr. Research Expert by the end of 2016, having worked for GfK for about 2 years. Then for the last time he again pursued a career in Restaurant Management by acting as an HR Manager and CMO and Delivery Manager for Mr. Pizza Restaurant chain in Sofia. This was his last position in the field of hotel and restaurant management, Stefan decided to retire from this sector and moved to strictly Marketing, especially Digital Marketing. from 2018 onward he held prominent positions as Marketing manager for companies such as AnnaVasily, Orbica, thyssenkrupp, beginning also a private consultancy in the field. In addition to that he manages his hobby well in Numismatics and History research. In Numismatics he specializes in Roman imperial coins, Islamic states coins, German states as well, especially Thalers and their derivatives, and medieval period coins.
