Robin Peringer is an American musician who has been a member of a number of Pacific Northwest bands such as Modest Mouse, Band of Horses, Carissa's Wierd, Love As Laughter, 764-Hero, Grand Archives, Figg, Kill Sybil, Patrick Park, and Stars, among others. [1] Peringer was close friends with Elliot Smith and also toured with him as his drummer in 2003. [2]
Early Life
editPeringer was born December 2, 1968 in Spokane, Washington. Growing up, he was an integral part of the Spokane Punk Scene. [3] He formed his first band, Suburban X at the age of 16. Peringer grew up with Paul D'Amour, a founding member of and former bassist for Tool. After his mother passed away from cancer when he was just 18-years-old, Peringer moved to Los Angeles, California.
