Sso2187 aka Andrew Michael Rowe was born September 18, 1982 in Sarasota, FL.
Rowe attended Brentwood Elementary School in Sarasota, FL starting in 1988. During his tenure there, Rowe had straight A's and perfect attendance in all of his classes. After graduating from Brentwood, Rowe attended McIntosh Middle School in Sarasota, FL. Rowe continued his perfect attendance record while at McIntosh. Rowe also won the Geography Bee in 8th Grade and took one of the first Spanish classes offered at the school. A new concept was also introduced by combining 6-8 grades on one schedule of teachers. Rowe and his brother David Lee Rowe were the first siblings to be on the same "team" that weren't twins.
Rowe graduated from McIntosh and then attended Sarasota High School from 1998-2001. While at Sarasota High, Rowe played football all four years. His first year he played on the Freshmen football team. This team had a record of 7-1. His sophomore season, Rowe played on the Varsity team. Used solely as a backup and a practice squad memeber on Varsity, Rowe saw little to no playing time his sophomore season. Junior year in high school found a new football coach for the Sailors. Rowe was still on the Varsity squad as a backup guard and tightend. Rowe started 4 games as a Junior. The team went 0-10 that year, by far the most dissapointing team record in a long time. Senior year again a new coach had joined the Sailors. Coach Mike Hobbie returned to coach at the school his son played for. Success was instant with Hobbie's new attitude and drive for improvement. The Sailors won their first game, sparking a big following for the football team again. The second game of the season, the Sailors traveled to and lost to divison rival and 2000 State Champions Venice High School. Rowe was a starter his senior year and played right guard on the offensive line. The Sailors had compiled a 4-4 record before the week of their homecoming game. During the week of homecoming, Rowe went to the hospital and had an emergency appendectomy. This ended his football career in high school and the Sailors lost their homecoming game and rival game against Riverview. Because of the turn around he headed, Coach Hobbie was rewarded by being offered and accepting the Offensive Coordinator postion with the University of South Florida football team.
