Malayala Cinema Flash Back It is a mega Radio Documentary Serial broadcast in Malayalam language through All India Radio Stations in Kerala and originated from Thiruvananthapuram Station. The serial is concieved and produced by Raveendran Chennilode, Programme Executive, All India Radio, Thiruvananthapuram.It is for the first time in any public media which narrates the story of origin and development of cinema and its influential growth into the present status as a super media. It was broadcast in two periods.

1. The First Serial (2003) The first flash back serial was broadcast as the contribution of Radio when Malayalam cinema celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 2003 starting in August and broadcasting 65 episodes ending in 2005. The programme was relayed through Kozhikode, Kochi and Kawarathi Stations of All India Radio. The Focus was given to early film history of Kerala. More than 420 film celebrities and cinema workers participated in it. Almost all leading actors,directors, lyricists, musicians, cameramen, singers, screen play writers, technicians, makeupmen, film journalists, critics, authors, theatre owners, Studio owners, extra actors and representatives from each and every field of film industry were a part of the Serial. The Basic scripts and discourses were provided by the famous film personalities like, Sreekumaran Thampy, Bichu Thirumala, Poovachal Khader, N.C. Senan, Majeed Gulistan, Thankan Thiruvattar and authors like D.Vijayamohan, Anil Janardhanan, Sudheer Parameswaran, Nandakumar Konchira. The Serial went on air as a history narrated by its actual creators. After the introductory episodes the early history of Malayalam Films were narrated giving clippings, interviews and songs where ever possible. It was well appreciated by the other media as well and listeners.

2. Second Serial (2010) Another Serial in the same name but with extensive coverage to the early inventory period of motion pictures, experiments, early forgotten scientists, persons who devoted their whole life for the development of cinema, their struggles, hair raising moments in the history, success stories, first moving pictures, first moving pictures on a screen, first story film; all in the silent era, invention of sound in films, world film history, Asian Film History, Indian Film History, colour movies, development of theatres and after all the history of film industry as in current period. The new Serial was written by N.C. Senan and the producer Raveendran Chennilode.(contd')
