Adam Banton (born 28 February 1975 in Nokesville, VA) is an American Park & Street BMX rider and professional musician. He currently resides in Salt Lake City, Utah. Adam began riding in 1987 and playing guitar in 1995 after being sidelined from riding with a shattered leg. Adam explained how he became interested in riding in an Eastern interview: “I wanted to race when I was 13, my parents got me a Mongoose California race bike for Christmas ended up finding a track close to me only to learn that it was closed, then I think I saw DMC doing a demo on the local News station in DC, it was like 45 seconds, seeing that was the perfect bridge from wanting to race to the knowing what “Freestyle” was. I was hooked after that.” [1]

Adam is currently sponsored by Odyssey, Eastern Bikes, Osiris, Armourdillo, Fender Guitars and C.T.I Knee-braces. He has two different signature Odyssey grips and a signature Odyssey “B.E.T.A.” backpack.

Adam and his music have been featured in a series of BMX videos. He has two released CD’s and a third in the works. Adam has been a featured athlete on Fuel TV’s Daily Habit, performing from his CD’s; his self-titled first recording Adam Banton and his second Songs from Here and There. Additionally, he was a featured athlete and music performer on Props Rock n Roll Road Fools (tour) that also aired on Fuel TV. Adam has also been featured in multiple magazines such as Dig BMX[2], BMX Plus![3] and Ride BMX[4]. Adam’s Eastern Bike was recently added to the Flick Trix BMX finger bike line-up.
