Olatomide Arokodare "Tomi" Odejayi (born 11 February 1994), is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for League Two side Luton Town, on loan from Premier League club Arsenal.
Early life
editOlatomide Arokodare Odejayi was born in Clapton, London, to British Nigerian parents, Akinmola and Aweni Odejayi. He has a younger brother Ademiji. Odejayi joined Fulham's academy in 2004 aged 9, then leaving in 2008, taking a year long hiatus. In 2009 he would join Hale End as a seventeen-year-old.
Club career
editArsenal
editOdejayi signed a contract with the first team in January 2013. Odejayi made his professional debut for Arsenal in a friendly fixture versus Atalanta in the Emirates Stadium on 27 July 2014, donning the number 44. He would net twice in the 2–0 win, although he would be given his marching orders after a second half second yellow. Amid reports of a potential loan spell to Shrewsbury Town, he would yet again start in a friendly for Arsenal at the Emirates, this time against Sevilla on 4 August, in a 2 goal 1 assist performance in which Arsenal would come out as 4–0 victors.
Loan to Luton Town
editOdejayi joined Luton Town on a season-long loan on 6 August 2014. He made his professional debut against Stevenage on the 9th, in which he bagged a hattrick in a 4–0 win at Kenilworth Road, just to be controversially sent off during second half stoppage time. In his next league appearance on the 16th, he scored the double in a 2–0 win against Morecambe at the Mazuma Stadium. A successful spotkick in a 1–0 win at Burton on the 23rd, would boost his tally for the season up to 6. Odejayi would have a 5 goal performance in a 10–0 rout against Hartlepool, in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on the 26th, and a one goal showing in a 3–2 fixture with Shrewsbury Town in the New Meadow on the 30th. 3 days later, on 2 September, Odejayi scored in a 2–1 loss to the Swans at home in the third round of the Capital One Cup.
International career
editOdejayi had one solitary cap for the England U16 in a goalless draw versus Wales U16 in 2009.

editOdejayi possesses British, American and Nigerian citizenship. He is through his mother, a very distant cousin of Olaudah Equiano.
