Cleveland Ave. in Pitts, Ga
I took this image as I was strolling along Cleveland Ave. in Pitts, Ga. I was in Pitts because Hurricane Frances had chased me from my home. The National Hurricane Center had predicted that it would arrive 20 miles south of my house as a Category 4 storm. Hence I was set to be stuck in the north eye wall. I decided to leave town. I ended up in Pitts because my in-laws were at the time renting a small house in town. Naturally, as myself and 2 million other Floridians were fleeing the state, I knew that I was likely to be able to find a cheap refuge that still had a vacancy, after all who had ever heard of Pitts, Georgia? As it turns out, most of my wife's family had, and they were all there in a little 2 bedroom house.

STS-121 During Launch July 4th, 2006 2:38pm EDT
Take a close look at this image, in full screen you can see both rocket boosters falling away from the shuttle. It is quite amazing that I was able to capture this image from 50-60 miles south of Kennedy Space Center.

Moores Creek Bridge viewed looking towards the North-North-East.
Growing up, I had always loved when we could go to Fort Pierce and go over Tickle Tummy Hill. I never knew that it was a Historic Site until seeing it listed on Wikipedia. When I noticed there was no article for it, I went right to work to create one. When I got a chance to go back to Fort Pierce I snapped this image of Moores Creek Bridge looking at it from the south west. I also got a chance to learn a little about Zora Neale Hurston, and A.E. "Beanie" Backus

Turkey Creek in Palm Bay Florida.

I love to explore nature, and I snapped this photo as i was kayaking in Turkey Creek on June 14th. There was a lot of wild life in the area that morning. Turkey Creek is a great place to kayak on a lazy creek. This photo was from within the Sanctuary area
