Who is Sonja Bernhardt?

A Who's Who In Queensland, Who's Who of Australian Women and First Australian inducted into the Hall of Fame for Women in Technology International. Sonja Bernhardt is arguably the highest profile women in technology in Australia.

Sonja holds three management and information technology related degrees: Bachelor of Arts majoring in abstract algebra and psychology (University of Queensland, Australia - 1987) Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (Queensland University of Technology, Australia - 1989) MBA (Masters of Business Administration) (Queensland University of Technology, Australia - 1992)

A mother of 3 - a daughter (Naomi born 1982), a son (Tom born 1984) from her first marriage and a daughter (Kira born 2003) from her extremely happy second marriage. Tom and his wife presented Sonja with her first grandchild (Noah) in late 2007.

Sonja bases her life and all activities on a reality and reason based philosophy, in fact her daughter Kira was named after a heroine in the novel “We The Living” that was written by Ayn Rand - a philosopher Sonja greatly admires.

Sonja is a published author and Queensland- Australia’s ‘geek girl’ where she holds a weekly radio spot on 3 ABC Coastal radio stations as the communications and technology (including science) expert, taking her inspirational technology discussions to the airwaves.
