The article I have assigned to myself to work on is the History of Panama article. This article is important because it gives a summary of the history of a small but important country, one that has a direct impact on a large portion of world trade. It is also marked as having a high level of importance to three different wikipedia projects. I plan to contribute mostly small corrections and citations for the first parts, up to the section on the Panama Canal where I will try to present a more Panama-centric viewpoint rather than the current U.S.-centric POV of the passage. For most of the rest of the article I plan on adding small citations and corrections, but also trying to give more Panamanian viewpoints.
