VAMBO BREAD

This i a very delicious traditional bread in Namibia, usually made from millets|(omahangu) flour.[1] The millets have to be pounded to form flour. It is very cheap bread that you can make at home by using pots instead of ovens. It can be made by only women but in nowadays men can also make it on their own.

INGREDIENTS

  • Millets(omahangu) flour
  • Hot water
  • Sea salt
  • Sunflower oil
  • Sugar
  • Apple bran
  • Honey
  • Eggs

[2] It can be possible to make it without some ingredients like sugar, apple bran, and honey.

METHOD:

  • Take a warm water and pour little water into a small backet.
  • Add little salt ( just to give a taste) and sugar, mix thi ingredients by stilling.
  • Add 2 to 3 uncooked egg and mix them throughly.
  • Add 2 to 3 of flour and mix it with the first mixture.
  • Put 1 to 2 spoon of sunflower oil in the pot or a pan and let them to get warm.
  • Add the dough( half of it if is too much) in a pot or pan and close it wit a lid for 2 to 3 minutes.[3]
